Contemporary Principalities

Any time two or more people agree to make a pact to accomplish a common goal, they give birth to a social entity that has its own life complete with repeatable and observable behaviours and psychology. These behaviours and psychologies are established and maintained with a purpose to gaining, and controlling some degree of social power. If this sounds all too formal simply consider the scope of: all formal agreements, all institutions, all ideologies, all movements, all causes, all corporations, all bureaucracies, all traditions, all methods and routines, all conglomerates, all races, all nations. And so everything from the Ford Motor Company to Harvard University to Manitoba Hydro to the Olympics to the Anglican Church to CUPE to capitalism to communism to the Puritan work ethic to Scientology to Black Lives Matter to the KKK to sports to any professional discipline to marriage - the principalities are legion.
